ALCAM holds International Seminar in La Paz, Bolivia

On 8 and 9 of June 2016, ALCAM held the International Seminar on “Your works, Your rights” in La Paz, Bolivia, with the support of Sobodaycom (Bolivia), UBC (Brazil), SCD (Chile) and the Culture and Arts Council of Chile.

Many authors and composers of music of Bolivia attended this first Seminar led by ALCAM, where they were able to cover relevant topics of the music industry today. “The topics covered in this Seminar will be of great help for me and my band” said one of the attendees. A survey applied to the participants showed that 76% will use the discussed topics to improve their work as an author and composer of music.

Among the topics of greatest interest, were those related to Musical Production and Promotion and Broadcasting of musical works in Digital Platforms, thus showing the interest that authors and composers of music have for these two issues.

The seminar was led by renowned personalities from Chile and Bolivia, like Héctor "Tito" Astete, René Calderón and Sebastián Milos, Victor Hugo Laura, Dr. Geoffrey Baldivieso, and Oscar Castro, as well as composers and producers Geraldo Vianna and Manno Goes from Brazil.
